The local affiliate for Habitat for Humanity in 2009 has been able to select a family and a site for building in Elkhorn.  The difficult part remains to raise enough money to begin the building phase.  Located outside our church, the Habitat sign tells the story of how difficult it has been to raise money during this difficult economic time.

We remain hopeful that building will start very soon and we know that there are many members and friends of the church, and of the many area churches, that are looking forward to "putting faith into action" building the new home.
